An exciting opportunity exists to secure the role of North of Scotland Regional Innovation Programme Lead.
Your role will be to provide strategic and operational leadership and coordination across the six North of Scotland health boards. You will be accountable for directing a high-profile range of innovation programmes focused on evaluating the extent to which emerging technology can improve health and social care delivery challenges.
Key Tasks Including Regional Facilitation To Increase
1. Commission exploring innovative technological solutions for major care delivery and sustainability challenges across our boards
2. Market analysis and evidence reviews on topics of importance to North of Scotland chief executives
3. Prioritisation of applications to UK-wide funding bodies for topics of concern to North of Scotland and beyond
4. Access to general expertise in innovation
You will work closely with the North of Scotland senior leadership innovation team, North of Scotland board chief executives, Chief Scientist Office, and regional planning director. The post holder will influence multiple senior clinical and non-clinical stakeholders and professional groups at board, regional, and national levels. Engaging academic and industry partners will be a core activity.
You will be a dynamic and visionary leader with excellent multidisciplinary working skills. You should understand the innovation life cycle and be comfortable working in an environment with changing priorities and uncertainty. Demonstrable expertise in test-bedding innovation in the NHS, in-depth understanding of programme management, and familiarity with improvement methodologies are essential.
This post is offered as a fixed-term or secondment opportunity and will be hosted by NHS Grampian. Travel will be required given the remit of the post.
