Job Title: HLTA - ASC Experience

Salary: £110 - £120 per day
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) with specific expertise in Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) to join our team at a specialist ASC school in the Gloucestershire area. The successful candidate will be passionate about supporting students with ASC, have a strong understanding of their individual needs, and be confident in delivering targeted interventions and learning activities. This position is available for an immediate start.
Responsibilities
 * Support the planning and delivery of engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to the needs of students with Autism Spectrum Conditions.
 * Lead small group or 1:1 learning sessions under the guidance of the class teacher.
 * Create a positive, inclusive learning environment that promotes social, emotional, and academic development.
 * Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and support teams to provide holistic support for each student.
 * Assist in monitoring and recording student progress, providing feedback to the class teacher and SENCo.
 * Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans (BSPs).
 * Build strong, supportive relationships with students, parents, and carers to enhance engagement and outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
 * HLTA status or equivalent relevant qualification/experience.
 * Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Conditions in a school or specialist setting.
 * Knowledge of evidence-based strategies and interventions for supporting individuals with ASC.
 * Strong communication and organisational skills.
 * Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
