A major UK organisation in the logistics sector is seeking an experienced Cyber OT / ICS Architect to lead internal OT compliance, auditing, and remediation across largeâscale sortation environments.
This role is critical in uplifting OT security, driving IEC 62443 alignment, and delivering pragmatic, lowâdisruption improvements using existing tooling and controls.
What You'll Be Doing
đ Conduct OT/SCADA cybersecurity compliance audits & gap assessments (IEC 62443, NIS)
đ Design secure OT network architectures and remediation strategies
đ Assess, challenge, and uplift thirdâparty controls - moving assurance inâhouse
đ Produce SoWs, remediation plans, architecture summaries, and audit documentation
đ€ Work closely with engineering, operations, PMO, and senior stakeholders
đ Support delivery progress, reporting, and final handover
What You'll Need
â Strong OT/ICS/SCADA security background, ideally within automation or industrial environments
â Handsâon IEC 62443 experience (auditing, assessing, remediation)
â Experience in sortation, warehouse automation, logistics, or distribution OT environments
(Parcel sortation or materialâhandling automation is strongly preferred)
â Working knowledge of SCADA/PLC environments (handsâon not essential but beneficial)
â Experience securing OT networks: zoning, segmentation, secure configuration
â Excellent documentation skills - SoWs, audit reports, remediation outputs, architecture packs
â Ability to design improvements using existing tooling, not major product spend
â Experience assessing and strengthening thirdâparty OT controls
â Clear communicator across engineering, operations, PMO, and senior leadership

To be clear - candidates with sortation, warehouse automation, conveyor systems, AMR/AGV, or highâthroughput materialâhandling experience will be prioritised.
