Job Description:
We're looking for a Senior Environment & Sustainability Advisor to join our Transportation Team based across London and Radlett. Working on our prestigious TKJV and Transport for London (TfL) contracts, which we will be leading on for the next 4 years, with the possibility to extend up to an extra 4 years. Location: Edmonton / Southwark / Staines, London
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum
Responsibilities:
* Supporting the delivery of environmental compliance commitments and sustainability initiatives within the SHE team.
* Advising on legal, client, and company environmental requirements and procedures.
* Ensuring the application of the Kier Group integrated management system (IMS) meets ISO 14001:2015 standards.
* Supporting obtaining environmental consents, licenses, and exemptions in accordance with legislation.
* Conducting site inspections and audits, maintaining compliance, and assessing environmental impacts of schemes.
* Collaborating with colleagues to collect and report environmental data, including carbon, waste, water, and material use.
* Raising awareness of environmental issues, identifying training needs, and delivering compliance training.
* Promoting sustainability commitments and capturing key learnings and benefits.
Qualifications:
* Degree or similar in a relevant subject; membership of IEMA or equivalent.
* Experience in environmental management, preferably in construction.
* Knowledge of ISO 14001 EMS, compliance inspections, and audits.
* Experience liaising with stakeholders and managing environmental permits.
