Job Description:
A multi-billion dollar AUM Hedge Fund is looking to make a newly created hire for its expanding London office.
The hire will report directly to the European Head of Operations / Middle Office and will be a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for equities, taking ownership of operations and middle office tasks related to the firm’s expanding equities investment strategy. As many tasks are outsourced, the role focuses on analytical tasks, oversight of external service providers, and project work, primarily related to infrastructure buildout or support for equities investment professionals. The hire will serve as the first point of contact for the European equities business, liaising with multiple Prime Brokers.
The firm values progression, and the role offers potential to develop into an Operations Manager position. Other career paths within the global operations team include desk assistant, business management, treasury, and change roles. There are also opportunities for internal transfer to international offices for top performers.
Candidates should have 5-10 years of experience in hedge fund operations, with a strong background in equities. Excellent academic credentials and strong technical skills are required.
The role offers a salary of £80,000 to £110,000 base, with top performers earning significant bonuses.
