Two Rivers Medical Centre has an opportunity for a prescription clerk to join our busy prescribing team on a part-time basis, for 22.5 hours per week, working on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays. This position is offered on a fixed term 12 month contract to cover maternity. The main responsibilities of the role include: Ensuring that requests for repeat prescriptions are actioned within 72 hours. This includes checking email requests, paper requests. Covering phones lines and dealing with patient queries Responding to all queries and requests from chemists, nursing homes and district nurses, regarding the issue of prescriptions. Keeping repeat prescription information up-to-date in the patient journal, such as letters and doctors' requests. Organising blood tests (through ICE system) or blood pressure checks for patients, relevant to their prescribing needs. Medicine management – liaising and discussing any enquires or queries raised by the clinical team. General ad hoc administration work. Flexibility to cover other areas when required – multi-skill mix. Keep up-to-date with all prescribing guidelines and protocols, relevant to the position.
