Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant
Milk Education are seeking a dedicated Part-Time SEN Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant and supportive team. This role is perfect for someone who values flexibility while still wanting to make a real impact in the lives of young people with additional needs.
As an SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with a range of needs, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, MLD and PMLD.
2. Work across both Primary and Secondary settings, adapting your approach to suit different ages and learning abilities.
3. Support class teachers in delivering tailored learning plans aligned with EHCP targets.
4. Encourage pupils’ communication, social development, independence, and resilience.
5. Help maintain a positive, inclusive and nurturing classroom environment where every child feels valued.
What You’ll Need to Succeed
6. Previous experience supporting children or young people with SEN (school, care or youth work backgrounds all considered).
7. Patience, resilience and a genuine passion for helping pupils overcome barriers to learning.
8. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with teachers and support staff.
9. Flexibility to work across a variety of age groups and learning needs.
10. A strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all pupils.
