If so, we may have the role for you. We are currently recruiting a Master Schedule Manager for our Beaufort Division at the Ellesmere Port site. Thee Master Schedule Manager is pivotal to the overarching end to end successful running of the manufacturing process, therefore relies heavily on control, management, communication, and collaboration. This role works closely with the sales/customer services & commercial teams to define, issue and maintain achievable master demand and capacity schedules that assure the delivery of product that meets the customer on-time delivery requirements. Understands customer contractual requirements and works in tandem with peers over customer constraints and demand. What You Can Expect From The Role To work closely with Sales and the production of order intake pipeline forecast by producing rough cut demand and capacity schedules: 3 / 6 / 12 / 18-month time fences. To help enhance data quality by maintaining high level part numbers /descriptions to help towards the facilitation of sales campaigns. Produces Master Production Schedule (MPS) based on firm (received) customer orders. Raising risk in a timely manner and reducing/mitigating any need for rescheduling and maintaining on time and in full orders. Produces Master Capacity Plan based on sales forecast and data provided in Salesforce, forecasts and scheduled meetings (eg Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning). Works with GM, Finance, Sales, Customer Services, and Commercial teams to maintain MPS that delivers P&L business plan. Weekly order book integration, maintenance and review jointly with Customer Services to assure alignment with customer expectation and to facilitate the negotiation / communication of deviation from committed delivery dates. Defines material requirements & works with Supply Chain & Procurement to assure integration of material deliveries to enable Production to start on time to deliver the MPS. Responsible for Order Intake and assurance that all discipline tasks achieved to standard to confirm that customer requirement date is met; establish embodiment date to assure start on time. Coordinate teams by incorporating achievable SLA`s and KPI assurance. Escalate and jointly agree with the Sales / Customer Services / Commercial teams if the customer requirement date cannot be achieved. Responsible for assuring that all aspects of order delivery are in place prior to production start/launch. This includes, but is not limited to, financial guarantees, export control, Engineering Change, configuration control, logistics arrangements. Defines and maintains a pre-launch checklist and ensures all responsible functions complete customer order related enablers prior to production launch. Maintains a production launch risk register and escalates items putting assured production launch at risk. Accounts for new product introduction, major & minor modifications, and learning curves associated to the production of infrequently placed customer orders. Works with customer services to influence sales and commercial teams re. potential material / production constraints that may impact lead-time and residual inventory / stock holding. KPIs: MPS / Order Book alignment; Demand / Capacity alignment; SoT; OTIF. Addition and improvements to KPIs where and when the business requires it. Attend customer and stakeholder meetings where required to help support and communicate operational management of the orderbook. Works with the materials management teams to ensure any spikes or anomalies in requirements / material availability are identified, planned and managed effectively. Develops a set forecasted schedule (baseline) that is maintained and managed daily/ weekly/ monthly/ quarterly according to production plans for the site to enable effective inventory management and resource allocation. Communicates the local operational action plan, explaining how this relates to the manufacturing strategy and action plan and the broader RFD Beaufort mission and vision; motivates people to achieve local business goals. Helps others get the most out of internal communications systems by offering support and advice. Make available and communicate real-time information back to sales/customer services to enable further conversations direct with the customer and to highlight constraints early. Identifies shortcomings in existing production planning processes, systems and procedures; delivers straightforward improvements to planning and forecasting processes with guidance from production manager and engineering colleagues. Working with sales operations team to incorporate slicker and more meaningful capacity planning into Salesforce. To incorporate and lead on ERP planning modules with IT for future MPS requirements. Experience And Qualifications Educated to High School / Further Education college level with 2 A Levels, or equivalent and / or at least 3-5 years in a Master Scheduler role. 3-5 year of job-related experience ensures the role holder can carry out duties unsupervised Stakeholder management is required for this role so proven experience in people management/interpersonal skills and an ability to collaborate and gain “bye in” is required. Previous experience in management of customer accounts Programme/Project management skills/experience or qualification would be an advantage
