Position: Technical Manager Location: Halifax Hours: Monday to Friday Days (38.75hrs) Pay: £50,000 - £55,000 Benefits: Pension: 6% employer, 5% employee, 28 days holiday (including statutory), death in service 3x annual salary About your new Technical Manager role A leading service organisation is seeking a Technical Manager to lead a high-performing technical support team, both office-based and field-based. This role is pivotal in ensuring quality service delivery, technical excellence, and strong customer relationships. The Technical Manager will be responsible for Lead and manage a team of technical support specialists, delivering effective 1:1s, performance reviews, and personal development plans. Oversee all technical queries from field engineers, ensuring prompt, accurate support and resolution. Drive quality assurance and ensure health and safety compliance across all operations. Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive site visits and support. Support the service team in resolving technical issues and delivering outstanding customer service. Identify opportunities for process improvement and staff training through data analysis. Ensure all maintenance and repairs follow manufacturer guidelines and internal procedures. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal departments on key projects and service initiatives.Experience required for Technical Manager role Proven experience in managing technical or engineering support teams. Proven automotive/fleet industry experience, on or off highway Strong leadership and coaching skills with a focus on performance development. Experience in customer relationship management, ideally in automotive or fleet sectors. Excellent communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities. A data-driven mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement.
