We have an exciting opportunity for a Support Worker to join our service at Whistley Dene in Potterne. We support six people with learning disabilities in their own home. Whistley Dene is in a rural setting and is surrounded by beautiful countryside, so having access to transport is essential. You will also need to have a valid, full UK driving licence and be willing to drive the house vehicle to support the people that live in Whistley Dene to access their communities. We are looking for someone who is able to offer support out and about, supporting people to go out for a coffee, shopping, watching Swindon Town play football, ten pin bowling, listening to music, going to the cinema; all aspects of everyday life. You might be new to Social Care and have life experiences and a variety of skills and abilities which will benefit the people who live at Whistley Dene. We will be committed to ensuring you have the training and mentoring required with the induction into this role. Hours are worked on a shift rota pattern and will include some weekends, evenings and bank holidays. Shift patterns are: 07.00-14.00 14.00-21.00 07.00-21.00 Sleep-in: 21.00-07.00 We work closely with families, health professionals and our social care colleagues to provide support which is led by the individual.
