Account executive

East Grinstead
Stride Resource Management Ltd
Account executive
Posted: 27 April
Offer description

You already know how to win and retain clients. What matters now is joining a business where you are not expected to build everything from zero.

This Account Executive role in West Sussex comes with an inherited book, giving you the platform to focus on relationships, advice and steady growth rather than cold starts and unrealistic expectations.

The opportunity

* You'll be joining an established insurance business looking for an Account Executive who can take over an existing portfolio and develop it properly.
* There is already something to work with here.
* A client base in place, relationships to build on and room to strengthen and grow the book over time.

What the role looks like

* This is a client-facing role for someone who enjoys managing accounts well, spotting opportunities and building trust with clients over the long term.
* You will inherit an existing book, take ownership of relationships and work closely with internal teams to make sure clients receive the right advice and service.
* This is not a role where you are left to figure it out alone.

Responsibilities

* Take ownership of an inherited portfolio of commercial insurance clients
* Build strong relationships with existing clients and become their trusted point of contact
* Lead renewals, programme discussions and account strategy
* Identify opportunities to grow and develop the book over time
* Work with broking, servicing and claims teams to deliver a high standard of client care
* Negotiate with insurers and present solutions clearly and commercially
* Maintain strong retention while supporting wider business growth

Who this could suit

* You are already an Account Executive in commercial insurance
* You may also be a senior-level Account Handler ready for a move into an Executive role with the right support
* You are confident managing client relationships and looking after a book properly
* You want a role with an existing base of income rather than a pure new business focus
* You are commercially aware, credible with clients and good at building trust

The business

* This is an established insurance firm with a stable client base and a clear understanding of what makes an Account Executive successful.
* They are offering a genuine platform here, not just a title.
* The inherited book gives you something solid to build from, while the wider business provides the support and infrastructure behind it.

Package / benefits

* Salary up to £70,000
* West Sussex location
* Inherited book of business
* Established team and internal support
* Strong long-term career potential
* Full benefits package

If you are looking for an Account Executive role where you can step into an existing portfolio and build from a stronger starting point, this is worth a confidential conversation.
