Job Title: Hotel Manager - Clear Pathway to General Manager

This is an outstanding opportunity to join a leading hotel group in Harrogate, taking on a senior leadership role within a high-volume, branded 4-star hotel with a clear and genuine pathway to General Manager within the next 12 years .
As Hotel Manager, youll play a pivotal role in leading the day-to-day operation of a busy and prestigious property featuring 150+ luxury bedrooms, a vibrant restaurant and bar, and extensive conference and events facilities for over 400 delegates .
This role is ideal for a commercially minded hospitality leader who is ready to broaden their strategic exposure, strengthen their leadership profile, and step into a position designed to prepare them for their first General Manager appointment .
The Opportunity
Working closely with senior leadership, you will take ownership of the hotels operational performance, lead and develop departmental teams, and help drive commercial success across rooms, food & beverage, and conference operations.
This is far more than an operational leadership role it is a chance to build the experience, visibility, and commercial acumen needed to progress confidently into a future GM role.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the day-to-day operation of the hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences across all departments
Drive high standards in service delivery, brand compliance, and operational efficiency
Support and develop heads of department, building a motivated and high-performing leadership team
Oversee the successful delivery of food & beverage and conference operations within a high-volume environment
Work collaboratively to drive revenue performance and maximise profitability across all areas of the business
Take an active leadership presence within the hotel, ensuring smooth operations and strong team engagement
Contribute to the wider commercial and strategic direction of the property as part of the senior leadership team
About You
You will already be operating at Operations Manager, Hotel Manager, or Deputy General Manager level, ideally within a branded 4-star hotel environment, and be looking for the role that will prepare you for your first General Manager position.
You will bring:
A strong background in leading busy hotel operations within a branded environment
Experience across rooms division, food & beverage, and conference & banqueting operations
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to influence operational and financial performance
A hands-on, visible leadership style with a passion for team development
The ambition, drive, and leadership potential to progress into a General Manager role
