Our client is a leading Energy Company who are now seeking a Document Controller on a contract basis due to increased demand.
Duties:
1. Develop relationships with the project teams to ensure that the process is fully understood and any changes are communicated effectively.
2. Implement the learned processes as an active participant to ensure that all projects benefit from accumulated project experience.
3. Oversee the transaction review process, ensuring that the data accurately reflects all approved documents as required by the transaction.
4. Follow standards and procedures to ensure all transaction documentation is identified, recorded, reviewed, and shared as directed.
5. Become an expert in the use of transaction database tools to ensure all documentation is uploaded in a consistent format.
6. Familiarize with general project tools to move, rename, and check large volumes of files for upload.
7. Manage data content via Excel and Access to ensure all standard reports are accessible and reliable, providing real-time information.
8. Understand the overall transaction model as it relates to document requirements.
9. Develop innovative and creative solutions to resolve conflicts internally and within the team.
Experience Required:
1. Experience in a Senior or Lead Document Management role.
2. Understanding of Energy Sector documentation and the importance of information management for project success.
3. Proficiency with MS Office.
4. Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a highly pressurized environment.
5. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
6. Ability to communicate effectively at all levels, both internally and externally.
7. Self-motivated with effective time management skills.
8. Good knowledge of IT applications and systems.
