Skilled Machine Operator Reports to: [Supervisor/Manager] Location: Carryduff / Toome Core Hours: Monday Thursday Role Overview: We are looking for a skilled and experienced Machine Operator to join our production team. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery to support efficient and high-quality manufacturing processes. Monitor machines for any operational issues and maintain product quality. Conduct routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment. Assist with maintenance tasks during downtime or planned maintenance. Inspect finished products for compliance with quality standards. Follow all safety protocols and company policies. Keep accurate records of machine performance and production output. Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to improve processes. Prepare machines for the next shift and communicate any issues. Adhere to all Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures. Carry out HSEQ checks and report observations or improvements. Ensure production output meets required quality specifications and maintain records. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Essential Criteria: Physically fit to meet the demands of the role Strong awareness of health & safety practices Able to work efficiently to meet production deadlines Basic machine maintenance knowledge Reliable and punctual Willing to work flexibly, including responding to issues outside normal hours Able to work independently and as part of a team Desirable Criteria: Previous experience as a machine operator in a manufacturing/production setting. Valid forklift experience or certification.
