The role
We’re looking for a Credit Manager to lead our Accounts Receivable team within Premier Foods Business Services (PBS). You’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality, end‑to‑end credit and cash service, working closely with stakeholders across the business to support performance, controls and continuous improvement.
This is a leadership role with real impact — combining operational excellence, people management, and a strong customer focus.
What you’ll be responsible for
1. Leading and developing the Accounts Receivable team to deliver KPIs, SLAs and service standards
2. Managing credit control activities, cash forecasting and performance reporting
3. Acting as a subject matter expert for credit processes across PBS and the wider business
4. Ensuring compliance with financial controls, audit and legislative requirements
5. Driving continuous improvement in systems, processes and customer service
6. Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
7. Deputising for the Head of Accounts Receivable when required
About you
You’ll be a confident people leader with strong credit control expertise and a collaborative approach.
Essential experience and skills:
8. Proven experience in credit control / accounts receivable, with at least 2 years’ experience
9. Previous team management or people leadership experience
10. Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data, KPIs and reporting
11. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
12. Strong organisation, problem‑solving and decision‑making capability
13. Experience working with SAP (or similar ERP systems)
Desirable:
14. Experience working in a Shared Service Centre
15. FMCG or fast‑paced business environment experience
