Year 3/4 Class Teacher (Maternity Cover)
Location: Primary School in DN1Start Date: September 2026Contract: Maternity Cover – Academic Year 2026/2027Salary: M1–M6 (dependent on experience)
We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Year 3/4 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the DN1 area on a maternity cover basis for the 2026/2027 academic year.
This role offers full class responsibility within Key Stage 2 and would suit a teacher who is confident delivering high-quality teaching while adapting provision to meet the diverse needs of learners, including those with SEN.

The Role
* Full responsibility for a mixed Year 3/4 class
* Planning, teaching and assessing in line with the KS2 curriculum
* Using adaptive teaching strategies to support learners with SEN
* Working collaboratively with SEND staff to meet individual pupil needs
* Maintaining a positive, inclusive and well-managed classroom environment
The Ideal Candidate
* Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
* Has experience teaching within Key Stage 2
* Demonstrates a strong understanding of SEN and inclusive practice
* Confident in taking on full class responsibility
* Reflective, proactive and committed to high-quality teaching and learning
* Able to build positive relationships with pupils, staff and families
