JOB PURPOSE We are creating an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join a newly established team at a key stage in the company's growth, with the potential to develop and advance as the business continues to expand. Responsible for supervising and coordinating a team that produces high-quality tile & paving sample boards used in showrooms, sales presentations, designer mood boards and customer displays. This hands-on role combines leadership, quality control, workflow coordination, and safety practices to ensure that all sample boards meet brand standards and production deadlines. Alongside technical testing using the latest in test equipment, attention to detail and accurate record taking is key to success in this role. ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES Lead and motivate a team of sample board assemblers and packers. Organise daily tasks, assign roles, and monitor productivity. Oversee the cutting, labelling, gluing, and assembly of tile & paving samples onto display boards. Develop new and innovative ways to display samples. Identify and implement opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency. Monitor stock levels of tiles, adhesives, boards, and labels. Work closely with buying, marketing and sales teams to ensure smooth execution of merchandising plans. Stay up to date with market trends, competitor activities and customer feedback. Work with show room team to ensure displays and samples are displayed effectively. Follow technical standards to comply with industry testing. Ensure accurate records are recorded and kept up to date. Responsibility for compliance and discharging legal duties with regards to HR and Health & Safety to promote a safe, equitable and legally compliant work place. KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED TO DO THE JOB Proven experience in merchandising, production, or assembly roles; tile or building materials experience preferred. Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a team-based environment. Strong attention to detail and visual accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
