Customer Service Officer (Council Tax / Housing Benefits), London
This role involves providing crucial support to customers by ensuring they access the appropriate level of service and resolving inquiries across various contact channels, including inbound calls, face-to-face, and email.
Responsibilities include:
1. Delivering excellent customer service by providing advice and resolution at the first point of contact across all channels such as telephone, face-to-face, letter, email, web, web chat, and SMS.
2. Providing high-quality, comprehensive information services to meet both external and internal customer needs for any Council Service.
3. Handling customer inquiries via all access channels within the agreed timeframes and standards.
4. Resolving inquiries related to council tax and housing benefits at first contact, encouraging customers to use the most efficient methods for accessing information.
5. Maintaining accurate records related to customer service interactions.
Requirements include:
1. Experience in a customer service role within a busy front-line environment, from either the public or private sector.
2. Working knowledge of Council Tax and/or Housing Benefit (essential).
