As the guardian of our stringent quality & safety policies and standard, you will ensure our products are safe, legal and responsibly sourced, through proactive management of our suppliers and supply chains.

Responsibilities
* Risk assess my products to be safe, legal, responsibly sourced and meet the Tesco rules & policies.
* Manage and deliver the technical aspects of the product development critical path.
* Manage the delivery of our health and responsible sourcing agenda across my supply base.
* Ensure my products are always great quality through on‑going monitoring and improvements.
* Manage risk in our supply chains, from source, ingredients and raw materials, processing, manufacturing and Tesco routes to market. (safety, business & reputational risks).
* Play an active role in the supplier strategy for my area, ensuring we use the best suppliers & sources.
* Drive & develop supplier capability through collaborative engagement, setting clear goals and measuring progress, having Joint Quality Plans (JQPs) in place with all relevant suppliers.
* Respond to complaints and incidents quickly and effectively, ensuring stakeholders are aware and relevant action is taken to protect customers and Tesco.
* Challenge myself to learn new skills and keep abreast of the latest thinking in my industry to help drive innovation.
* Develop and coach my direct reports and support them to be their best.
* Follow our Business Code of Conduct, acting with integrity and due diligence. Speak up if something isn’t right.
Qualifications
* Supplier & stakeholder management, with strong influencing, communication and presentation skills.
* Project, critical path and risk management, across complex, end‑to‑end supply chains.
* Strong product and manufacturing knowledge, ensuring delivery of safe, legal and responsibly sourced products.
* Data analysis and sound decision‑making to manage quality, risk and performance.
* Relevant industry experience and qualifications, ideally within food/GNF.
* People management experience (where applicable).
* Strong IT and systems capability.
