Job Description
Policy and Public Affairs Officer
Milton Keynes
Responsibilities:
* Contribute daily to the charity's daily advocacy and policy work
* Conduct research and analysis to drive the charity's policy agenda
* Engage with a wide range of stakeholders including parliamentarians, other charities and wider sector stakeholders
* Represent the charity at events, conferences and forums
* Assist in report preparations and present findings to a range of audiences
* Write briefings and contribute to the writing of responses to government papers and consultations
* Work closely with other teams to keep up-to-date with developments online and in the news
The Successful Applicant
Policy and Public Affairs Officer
Milton Keynes
Essential:
* Working knowledge of Westminster and Whitehall
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate to a range of audiences
* Ability to manage a heavy workload and meet tight deadlines
* Experience working in policy and public affairs
* Availability to travel from time to time- either in the UK or abroad
