RG Consultancy are currently supporting an engineering company in their search for an Accounts Manager to oversee the smooth running of the financial operations.
The Job
This position will consist of overseeing a small finance team of 2 accounts clerks and the ideal candidate will have the ability to liaise with senior management when discussing financial matters.
The role will include, but is not limited to the following:
* Oversee the preparation and timely submission of VAT returns.
* Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring smooth processing.
* Supervise and ensure accurate payroll processing in line with HMRC guidelines.
* Generate, review, and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Prepare detailed financial reports to support business decision-making and performance analysis.
* Lead the reconciliation of general ledger accounts and resolve any discrepancies.
* Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit process.
* Contribute to the development of budgets and financial forecasts.
* Monitor and manage the company's cash flow, providing insights for financial planning.
* Ensure full compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and industry standards.
The Candidate
This role is ideal for an experienced Assistant Accountant or Management Accountant who is willing to progress and grow within this company over the coming years.
The successful candidate would be willing to get involved in all aspects of the finance function to ensure everything is running smoothly.
