Family Finding Officer | Lancaster | Part Time (25 hours per week) |

£28,164 – £33,099 per annum (pro rata depending on experience)
Our client is a Therapeutic Independent Foster Agency and charity with an important history built on principles of social justice and the power of communities. The children and young people they work with have experienced relational and developmental trauma, often leading to complex needs that require the love, security and sense of belonging provided by a nurturing family. These families are resilient, highly skilled and well supported.
They believe it takes a community to raise a child, and as a therapeutic agency, they continually explore and refine approaches to achieve their vision.

Skilled in communication, organisation, time management and relationship building
Able to build strong, trusting relationships with colleagues, foster carers and external partners
Confident working independently and as part of a team
Comfortable working with sensitive and confidential information
Capable of managing a varied workload and competing priorities
Experienced in administration or coordination (minimum three years)
Willing to work flexibly, including occasional evenings and weekends
What will your role look like?
Manage the organisation's matching and referral process
Build and maintain relationships with Local Authority commissioning teams
Work closely with social workers, Team Managers and the Registered Manager to identify suitable placements
Develop strong relationships with foster carers to understand their skills and matching criteria
Ensure all placement paperwork and agreements are accurate and complete
Oversee and monitor support packages for children and families
Keep clear and up-to-date records of placements, referrals and support arrangements
Provide monitoring reports and highlight areas for improvement
Support with placement planning and review meetings
Lead on new placement and end-of-placement processes
Work with the Business Development Manager to cost and coordinate support arrangements
Ensure compliance with fostering regulations, GDPR and Health & Safety requirements
