Overview
The Night Auditor plays a crucial role in ensuring
the safety, comfort, and satisfaction of guests during the overnight hours. As
the first point of contact for late arrivals and overnight enquiries, the role
requires professionalism, discretion, and the ability to resolve guest concerns
with efficiency and care.
Working closely with the Night Manager and Assistant
Night Manager, the Night Receptionist ensures seamless overnight operations,
accurate night audits, and maintains the highest standards of Montcalm
Collection’s luxury service.
Responsibilities
* Process
payments, deposits, and guest billing accurately.
* Provide
personalised service to VIP’s and repeated guests, anticipating their
needs and preferences.
* Manage
overnight enquiries, bookings, and guest requests.
* Coordinate
special requests and amenities for the guest, including room upgrades,
special occasions.
* Handle
guest complaints and issues efficiently, ensuring timely resolution to
guest satisfaction.
* Answer
and manage incoming calls, emails and reservations, ensuring all
communication is handled professionally and efficiently.
* Accurately
process payments and ensure the security of guest information.
* Monitor
hotel security and assist with property walks.
* Respond
to emergency situations calmly, ensuring guest and staff safety.
* Complete
and balance daily financial transactions and night audit reports.
* Prepare
and distribute overnight reports to relevant departments.
* Maintain
the reception and lobby area to a professional standard.
* Liaise
with Housekeeping, Concierge, and other departments to ensure guest needs
are met.

Skills and Qualifications

Front Office or customer service experience, ideally in a luxury hotel.
· Proficiency
in hotel systems (Opera, PMS) is an advantage.
· Strong
verbal and written communication skills.
· Flency
in English required, additional languages an asset.
· High
level of professionalism, discretion and integrity.
Working Conditions
· Overnight
shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
· Regular
guest-facing role requiring professional presentation (uniforms provided).
