It starts with our people, which is why we need a Accounts Payable Supervisor to join our team and provide opportunity to work within an international law firm, in a team and department that are looking to further improve efficiencies and streamline/automate working processes
You'll be responsible for:
* Assist with the daily operations of the EMEA AP team. The individual will be the senior escalation point for the teams queries (5 members)
* Responsible for the day-to-day workload of all team members and ensuring appropriate cover throughout the year
* Approving and releasing payments in multiple banking platforms
* Delegating work independently without direction from the AP Manager
* Involvement in AP projects and work closely with the Accounts Payable Manager to identify process improvements and drive best practice
* Supporting with ad-hoc tasks as needed
Skills and experience required
* Experience of working in a similar large corporate firm or professional services
* Demonstrable experience working in a Accounts Payable or a similar Finance role
* Exposure to high volume work and the respective pressure this brings is essential
* Previous experience of using Chrome River and/or 3E is preferred
* Knowledge of VAT codes in different countries and their correct application
* Prior experience of working in a senior capacity and proactively managing workloads to achieve deadlines
* Strong communication skills and an approachable team player
* Flexibility in adjusting to changing priorities at short notice
