Requirements
* 2-4yr PQE Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive
* Consistently deliver high-quality legal services through appropriate monitoring and management of own personal training and development
* Ability to build and maintain excellent stakeholder relationships within all aspects of the business
* Ability to always exercise discretion and professionalism
* Work diligently and in good faith within the general working practices required of a qualified solicitor
* Ability to work as part of a team, whilst being able to work efficiently on own initiative
What the job involves
* As part of the Private Law team, you will advise on a wide range of complex matters, including wills and succession, inheritance tax, trusts, and probate
* You will also work closely with our Wealth Management team to support mutual clients
* You will manage a varied caseload, meeting with clients to understand their needs, progressing matters efficiently, drafting tailored documentation, and liaising with other stakeholders
* You will ensure accurate case management and full compliance with SRA and Firm standards, while building strong client relationships and contributing to the team's professional growth
* Arrange and conduct meetings with new and existing clients to establish the necessary advice and services, based on the client’s needs
* Arranging and attending further client meetings where necessary to progress with the case and finalise documentation
* Taking and acting upon client instructions
* Instructing barristers or specialist advocates to appear in court for the client in complex disputes
* Corresponding with clients and opposing solicitors where necessary
* Advising clients on the law and legal issues relating to their cases
* Drafting of documents, letters and contracts tailored to the client’s individual needs
* Research and analyse documents and case law to ensure the accuracy of advice and
* Delivery of agreed billing and other targets in accordance with departmental and personal financial controls/budgets
* Support the development and reputation of the Firm through external involvement in professional organisations and internal contribution at departmental and practice levels
* Keeping up to date on legislative, regulatory, and client-related developments, changes, and trends
* Adherence to the standards as set by the SRA and to all the Firm’s Policies and Procedures
* Support the training and development of Trainee Solicitors and Paralegals
