The Company currently has a vacancy for a Chief Engineer in its ERRV/MRV fleet.
Start date: 21/07/2025 Position: Permanent Rotation: 4 weeks on / off
Suitable candidates should have previous experience as a Chief Engineer and hold a UK CoC / UK FSE. Non-UK candidates willing to apply for the UK equivalent certificate of competency (UK FSE) will also be considered.

Chief Engineer responsibilities include:
1. Monitoring the technical status of the ship, machinery, and propulsion systems, ensuring all equipment is operational.
2. Ensuring compliance with relevant rules and regulations issued by authorities, Classification Society, I.M.O., port authorities, and management.
3. Overseeing the safe, efficient, and economical operation and maintenance of all machinery, systems, and equipment onboard, including vessel maintenance.
4. Maintaining an effective watch in the engine room at all times.
5. Reporting defects using the company's approved planned maintenance system.
6. Updating defect reports promptly to keep maintenance records current.
7. Requisitioning stores, spares, and equipment for the Engine Department.
8. Delegating tasks to Engine Room staff.
9. Promoting and adhering to the company's Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental policies.
10. Encouraging effective inter-departmental communication.
