About the Job
You will support manufacturing activities across tooling design, process development, assembly systems and production improvement initiatives. The role offers exposure to the full product lifecycle; from prototype builds through to production ramp-up, with opportunities to take ownership of projects and develop rapidly within the business.
Responsibilities
* Support the development and optimisation of manufacturing and assembly processes
* Assist in the design and implementation of tooling, fixtures and assembly aids
* Create and maintain manufacturing documentation, work instructions and process flows
* Collaborate with design engineering to improve manufacturability and assembly efficiency
* Support production builds, troubleshooting and continuous improvement activities
* Help develop production systems, layouts and manufacturing controls
* Participate in root cause investigations and corrective action activities
* Work with suppliers and internal teams to support tooling and production readiness
* Contribute to lean manufacturing and industrialisation initiatives
What We’re Looking For
* Degree or equivalent experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
* Understanding of manufacturing and assembly principles
* CAD experience (3DX strongly preferred)
* Strong problem‑solving mindset and willingness to learn
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills
* Organised, proactive and comfortable working in a fast‑paced engineering environment
* Interest in aerospace, advanced manufacturing or propulsion systems
Desirable
* Placement, internship or industry experience within manufacturing or engineering
* Exposure to tooling, assembly or production engineering environments
* Familiarity with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methods
* Experience creating technical documentation or process instructions
