Anticipated Contract End Date/Length: 6 months with potential to extend
Work set up: Hybrid (3 days onsite), SC clearance required
We’re seeking an experienced User Researcher to plan, design, and deliver research activities that build a deep understanding of the people using or delivering a service. The insights you generate will inform policy, propositions, and the design of services, content, and interactions.
This role is based in Newcastle and requires active SC clearance.
What you will do:
* Plan and design user research programmes, testing both high-level concepts and specific aspects of services as they are designed and developed.
* Conduct contextual and discovery phase research.
* Carry out both quantitative and qualitative analysis of research data.
* Work across different phases of user research: Discovery, Alpha, Beta, and Live.
* Ensure insights are applied to policy, service, content, and interaction design.
* Embed user-centred design practices into agile workflows.
Qualifications
* Active SC clearance (mandatory).
* Previous experience of user research, or appropriate experience in other fields of research.
* Demonstrable knowledge of a range of research methods relating to users and/or customers of a service.
* Proven experience conducting contextual and discovery phase research.
* Experience of both quantitative and qualitative analysis of research data.
* Experience working across Discovery, Alpha, Beta, and Live phases of research.
* Understanding of user-centred design practices and how to embed them into agile workflows
Additional Information
* Location: Newcastle (3 days per week on-site presence required)
* Clearance: SC (Security Check) required
* Contract Type: PAYE or umbrella.
