The Practice Nurse will: Deliver general practice nursing services including: Wound care and dressings Cervical cytology Childhood and adult immunisations Travel health advice and vaccinations ECGs Phlebotomy Blood pressure monitoring NHS Health Checks Undertake chronic disease management (as appropriate to competency), including: Diabetes Asthma COPD Hypertension CHD Provide contraceptive advice and sexual health services (with training) Support screening programmes (e.g. cervical, bowel, NHS Health Checks) Participate in infection prevention and control measures Undertake home visits when clinically appropriate Maintain accurate, contemporaneous clinical records in line with professional standards
