Job overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated full-time Therapy Assistant to join the Peterborough Community Rehabilitation Team at Botolph Bridge Community Health Centre, Peterborough.
You will be supported by physiotherapists and occupational therapists in delivering therapy to patients with primarily physical disabilities. The Community Rehabilitation Team provides rehabilitation, housing adaptations, and moving and handling services to adults over 18 years old, working alongside nurses, mental health practitioners, and other multidisciplinary professionals in Cambridgeshire.
CPFT supports the Health Education England Allied Health Professional Support Workforce framework, which offers structured learning and career development for support workers.
Key responsibilities
* Travel independently around the county to meet service needs, holding a full UK driving license and having access to a vehicle. Public transport is not suitable for this role.
* Support patients with mobility, exercises, activities of daily living, and provision of equipment to promote independence and safety.
* Assist with falls prevention interventions as needed.
* Work under supervision of registered professionals to carry out assessments, treatments, and risk identification.
