Year 5 Teaching Assistant – Warrington Start Date: 20th April - Full-Time
A friendly and supportive primary school in Warrington is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their Year 5 team from 20th April. This is a full-time role, ideal for someone who has experience working with children and is confident supporting learning in Key Stage 2.
You will work closely with the class teacher to support pupils across the curriculum, helping to maintain a positive, focused, and inclusive classroom environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Supporting teaching and learning within a Year 5 classroom
* Working with small groups and on a 1:1 basis where required
* Assisting with the delivery of lessons across core and foundation subjects
* Supporting pupils with varying abilities, including those who may need additional support
* Helping to manage behaviour in line with school policies
* Preparing and organising classroom resources
Requirements:
* Level 2 TA Qualification.
* Confident and experienced working with pupils with SEND.
* Previous experience working with children (school-based experience desirable).
* A good understanding of Key Stage 2 learning.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
* A positive, proactive, and flexible approach
* An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
