Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant – Croydon Location: Croydon, South London Start Date: Immediate / As soon as possible Contract Type: Full-Time, Long-Term / Permanent About the Role: We are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive school in Croydon. The successful candidate will work closely with students who have Special Educational Needs (SEN), providing one-to-one and small group support to help them reach their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Support pupils with additional learning needs in and outside the classroom. Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and behaviour management. Implement individual learning plans and strategies to promote student progress. Create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive learning environment. Communicate effectively with teachers, parents, and support staff. Requirements: Experience working with children or young people with SEN (e.g., Autism, ADHD, SEMH, or Learning Difficulties). A patient, caring, and proactive approach. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A valid Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one). Right to work in the UK.
