Position Overview
The position is a professional individual contributor role within a high-performance team, responsible for all aspects of Materials Management, Procurement, and Strategic Sourcing for the supply of products and services, including Direct / BOM and Indirect / Non-BOM spend.
Payrate: DOE
Contract: Temporary for 3 months
Responsibilities
1. Own the sourcing and supply of products from a portfolio of suppliers, ensuring "Total Supplier Ownership".
2. Manage all aspects of tactical and strategic sourcing to meet Quality, Delivery, and Cost (QDC) objectives.
3. Handle issues related to the vendor commodity portfolio, including Quality, Productivity, On-Time Delivery, Inventory, and MCOS maximization.
4. Participate in supply base rationalization, including insourcing, outsourcing, and vendor transitions.
5. Monitor and evaluate supplier performance, implementing corrective actions as needed.
6. Develop and implement commodity strategies.
7. Support the Materials Manager in negotiating commercial agreements, focusing on risk mitigation and win-win outcomes.
Position Competencies: Education, Knowledge & Experience
* Bachelor's degree in Procurement, Business, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
* Significant commodity management and/or purchasing experience, preferably in manufacturing.
* CIPS certification or working towards it is highly desirable.
* Strong understanding of purchasing best practices and supplier assessment tools.
* Excellent negotiation skills and professional ethics.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Word.
* Strong analytical skills and systems thinking.
* Experience with foreign sourcing and ERP/MRP systems is preferred.
* Ability to communicate effectively at all levels and facilitate meetings and training.
* Knowledge of RCCA and Counter Measures processes, Lean principles, and supply chain strategies.

* Material cost savings (MCOS).
* Indirect spend savings.
