We are seeking a helpful, enthusiastic and well‑organised individual to fulfil a vital admin support function working with our busy Housing Options team dealing with homelessness in Norwich.
Job Description
The purpose of this post is to provide admin support to our homelessness team and administer the temporary accommodation used by the council to accommodate homeless households.
Responsibilities
The post‑holder will assist with tasks such as sourcing temporary accommodation, making transport arrangements and liaising with providers and external agencies on behalf of clients.
The role will include updating client records, providing statistical reports and updating systems as well as managing temporary accommodation placements and assisting clients with the transition to a housing tenancy.
Skills Required
Strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, the ability to work independently and prioritise a mixed workload.
Excellent communication, building good relationships quickly and enjoying working as part of a team.
Positive and flexible approach, multi‑tasking ability and the ability to work well in often pressurised circumstances.
