Position Summary:
We are recruiting a Finance Manager (UK) to join our UK finance team within the Power & Industrial division in Cramlington, Northumberland. The successful candidate will lead all financial systems, transactions, and reporting for an international contracting subsidiary of a Japanese-listed parent company. Flexible working arrangements, including occasional remote work, are available.
Position Responsibilities:
1. Planning, directing, recording, and reporting all financial transactions.
2. Coordinating and presenting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end reports for the division and group.
3. Preparing budgets, forecasts, and financial models in collaboration with senior managers.
4. Implementing controls and systems to safeguard assets and ensure compliance with policies, J-SOX, and group reporting requirements.
5. Enhancing financial reporting, forecasting, and business efficiencies.
6. Analyzing financial performance, profit risks, and opportunities.
7. Managing cash flows and financial provisions for exposures and large projects.
8. Coordinating with the group treasury when applicable.
9. Leading and managing the UK Finance team, including hiring, evaluation, training, and guidance.
Person Specification:
Education, Qualifications, and Affiliations (Desirable):
* Second-class Bachelor's degree in a technical or numerate discipline.
* Chartered Accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ICAEW).
* Leadership qualifications.
Experience (Essential):
* Relevant experience in finance management.
* Experience with foreign exchange impacts.
* Knowledge of ERP systems (Microsoft AX or SAP preferred).
* Understanding of accounting and finance principles.
Experience (Desirable):
* Experience in manufacturing or engineering sectors.
Licenses or Certifications (Essential):
* Eligible to work in the UK.
Skills (Essential):
* Health, safety, and environmental awareness.
* Flexibility and ability to meet deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
* Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems.
* Problem-solving and report-writing abilities.
Skills (Desirable):
* Multilingual abilities, especially French and Spanish.
