Rate of Pay: £15.31- £19.51 per hour
Summary:
The Garden Waste and Business Support Officer holds a crucial post responsible for managing the entire administrative and customer service framework for the garden waste collection service, while also providing high-quality business and financial support to the wider Waste & Street Services team. The role is the primary point of contact for residents and internal staff, requiring a customer-focused response and timely, professional work delivery. The successful candidate will drive continual system improvement for the garden waste service and ensure all administrative and financial processes are efficient and compliant with modernisation objectives and GDPR.
Responsibilities:
* Manage the annual administration of the garden waste system for customer applications and the reissue of bags and permits.
* Ensure a quality business support service is provided to Waste & Street Services officers (office-based and front-line).
* Manage, monitor, and coordinate service emails, the MCS system, and social media communication channels.
* Design and produce resources and communication materials to meet service needs (e.g., crew stickers, service information leaflets, letters).
* Manage the department's training records.
Essentials:
* Proven experience in managing and improving end-to-end administrative processes.
* Experience with financial and procurement administration (e.g., requisitions, invoice processing, basic budget monitoring).
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail for processing payroll, financial data, and updating public information.
* A commitment to data protection principles (GDPR).
