Basic Function:
The Project Engineer role is to process and project manage all sales orders assigned received by the company, to ensure that the right product and/or service reaches the right place, at the right time, within budget and is invoiced accurately, on time.
Specific Responsibilities:
Process all sales orders received by the company, following all relevant company procedures.
Accurate project management of all assigned projects to include:
* Schedule of works/Project plan
* Method Statements/SMOWS/Project Specific Requirements/Project specific RAs
* Project Specific O&M Manuals
* Cost analysis as necessary/requested
3. Placing/progressing of purchase orders in an accurate & timely manner.
Ensure all financial controls associated with sales orders/purchase orders are complied with. Including checking account status before any product dispatched and maximizing the profit margin associated with a sales order.
Technical and commercial vetting of all sales orders assigned.
Ensure all project variations are placed on order entry and converted within Navigator accurately within the correct fields and the correct months, within the required time scales
Ensure project dates are managed with accurate dates.
Determine and understand whole electrical installation within scope of works and determine DC isolation requirements, including cabling, place the supplier orders within the timescales of the sales order.
Ensure engineers electronic calendar entries are booked in a timely manner; contract notes updated and confirmed within 48 hours of the project date.
Technical assistance to Project Engineers – Internal and Project Co-ordinators.
Reporting to Projects Engineering Manager – KUP, in the adherence to correct health and safety on site for all our staff and sub-contractors, any feedback regarding sub-contractors and suppliers that meet the correct standards with both health and safety and quality are used.
Pre sales site attendance, as requested, to assist both sales teams and pre/post-sales support for Sales/Operations departments on all 'project' related issues. Representing the company within these meetings which can lead to additional sales.
Provide each of the sales departments with sufficient clear information when an enquiry is received to enable them to quote correctly.
In addition to the above, Projects Engineer is required to comply with all and any reasonable requests made by the Line Manager or above as required.
