Have you got a trade background and looking for a new career?
At NHS Highland we have a full-time vacancy within our Estates Department for a Maintenance Joiner based at New Craigs Hospital.
The successful applicant will be required to carry out maintenance and repairs of the internal and external building fabric across the NHS Highland Estates area. A current driving licence is essential.
Applicants must be suitably qualified, a time served trades person, ideally having appropriate joinery-based maintenance experience preferably within a health care environment. However, relevant experience in other industries is also considered advantageous.
Applicants must be able to work on their own and as part of a team, without supervision, often on remote sites. This postholder will be required to liaise with various departments and prioritise and ensure that all reactive and planned maintenance works are carried within an acceptable time scale to meet the needs of service delivery.
A flexible approach to work is essential as variations to the standard working week may be necessary to provide the level of service required and participation in an out of hours on call rota is required.
