Overview
Digital Print Operator/Print Finisher. We are a successful digital print, production and installation company based just a stone's throw from the centre of Birmingham, outside of the CAZ area with easy access to local road, tram and rail networks. Our reputation is built upon providing a trusted, honest and accurate service and product. We have expanded organically every year in our 20 plus year history and this year has proven we need even more help to continue our growth.
This is a fantastic new opportunity for the ideal candidate to join a growing design and large format digital print production company servicing mainly blue-chip end users. The experienced candidate we are looking for will have at least three to four years industry experience conducive to the role and be a fantastic communicator both with clients and colleagues. As standard we operate between Monday to Friday from 9am to 5:30pm; you may occasionally be required to work overtime during the week and the occasional weekend dependent on current workload.
Responsibilities
* Work as part of our Production Team reporting to our Production Manager in the manufacture of a variety of products, either autonomously or as part of a team.
* Responsible for all printing, finishing and quality checking of all work undertaken.
* Operational experience of running a 5m wide roll-to-roll printer.
* Manage the work you print or finish using flatbed and roll-fed digital printing machines, laminators, CAD cutting machinery and advise the team leaders of any flaws in a job in advance of issues occurring.
* Follow instructions and existing operational procedures to the letter and query with the Line Manager if unsure.
* Be flexible in carrying out ad-hoc duties as required, including assisting with fitting work externally or on site.
* Have proficient knowledge of and ability to use RIP software such as Caldera, Versaworks and CAD software.
* Be able to learn and develop expertise in the use of various pertaining analogue and digital equipment.
* A professional understanding of how clients use printed products and related services in general.
* Operational experience of using a guillotine; driving a forklift is an advantage but not essential.
Qualifications and Requirements
* At least three to four years industry experience conducive to the role.
* Strong communication skills with clients and colleagues.
* Willingness to learn and adapt to different equipment and software.
