GSL Education are seeking a dedicated History Teacher to join a school in the Penistone (S36) area. This role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver engaging lessons, help students develop critical thinking skills, and support them in exploring historical events and their modern-day relevance. As a History Teacher, you will: Plan and deliver well-structured lessons that meet the national curriculum. Inspire students to think critically and engage in historical analysis and debate. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every learner feels valued. Monitor and assess student progress, providing constructive feedback to support achievement. Contribute to the wider school community, including extracurricular clubs or history projects. Uphold high standards of behaviour management and safeguarding. Requirements for History Teacher: UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent. Strong subject knowledge and passion for History. Excellent classroom management and communication skills. Ability to engage and motivate students of varying abilities. An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).
