Driver Hire Southampton is currently seeking a reliable and professional Class 2 Driver to join one of Hampshire’s leading refreshment suppliers. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a well-established and reputable company known for delivering high-quality products and outstanding service across the region.
About this position:
1. Monday to Friday – no weekend work
2. 12-week temporary to permanent position
3. Start times between 5:00am – 7:00am (8–10-hour shifts)
4. Driving a Class 2 rigid truck with tail lift and electric pump truck
5. Delivering refreshment drinks across the South and Midlands
6. Occasional London runs (drivers mate provided)
7. Some deliveries forklifted off; others require manual unloading
8. Complete daily vehicle safety checks, accurately review delivery notes and driver manifests; confirm all loads are safely secured; and promptly communicate any issues to the transport team.
What we require from you as a Class 2 Driver:
9. Full UK Class 2 (Category C) licence
10. Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph card
11. Physically fit and comfortable with heavy lifting
12. Good understanding of manual handling procedures
13. Own transport to commute to and from work is essential due to the location of our client
14. Strong communication and timekeeping skills
15. Confident driving in London when required
16. Newly qualified drivers are welcome to apply
