Are you interested in a varied and rewarding career in a specialty area? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and enthusiastic therapist to join our established team within the cardiac rehabilitation department at Mid Essex.
We currently have a vacancy for a Band 7 Physiotherapist (0.8WTE) to lead the exercise component of the cardiac rehabilitation team.
The post holder will have the opportunity to experience all aspects of the specialty, including both hospital and community settings for the cardiac rehabilitation classes, as well as the full range of cardiac rehabilitation services within Mid Essex. We work closely with other cardiac rehabilitation teams across MSE, and you will be integral in aligning services with other physiotherapists and exercise professionals within these sites (Basildon and Southend).
The ideal candidates will have clinical experience in cardiac or rehabilitation settings and leadership experience working in a team.
Main duties of the job
* Provide and coordinate the effective high-quality Cardiac Rehabilitation service through the provision of individualized exercise programmes.
• Assessing and advising patients following cardiac events, including risk factor assessment, lifestyle advice, and information on planned tests or treatments.
• Providing a high-quality, holistic service to patients undertaking cardiac rehabilitation, both face-to-face and via virtual platforms.
• Using specialized assessments, risk stratification, exercise prescription, lifestyle advice, and motivational counselling tailored to each individual.
• Working closely with cardiac rehab nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary team.
