Hays Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants (TAs) for secondary schools across Huddersfield and the surrounding areas.
About the Role:We are working closely with a number of secondary schools in Huddersfield who are seeking reliable and proactive TAs for short-term cover. These bookings often lead to long-term placements and even permanent opportunities for the right candidates.
What You'll Be Doing:
1. Supporting students across a range of subjects and abilities
2. Assisting teachers with classroom management and lesson delivery
3. Providing one-to-one or small group support where needed
4. Helping create a positive and inclusive learning environment
What We’re Looking For:
5. Previous experience working with young people in an educational setting (preferred)
6. A genuine passion for education and student development
7. Strongmunication and interpersonal skills
8. Flexibility and a proactive attitude
Ideal Candidates May Have:
9. A Level 2 or Level 3 TA qualification (not essential)
10. Experience supporting students with SEN or behavioural needs
11. An enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
