Job Description
* Operating machine tools including CNC Punches, CNC Press Brakes, Rollers, Lockforming Equipment, and Hand Tools.
* Maintaining machine tools, hand tools, and other manufacturing equipment.
* Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and health & safety rules, including wearing PPE.
* Completing training programs such as LEAN manufacturing courses by prescribed deadlines.
* Acting in a lawful and ethical manner as per employment contract and staff handbook.
* Collaborating with line managers for professional development and training needs.
* Moving raw materials, breaking out machined parts, and transporting parts to required locations.
* Sharpening and changing tools, removing scrap material, and pro-active machine maintenance.
* Lifting and carrying heavy items safely.
* Programming input with CPU control units.
* Reading engineering drawings and measuring parts against specifications.
* Working independently and as part of a team to meet production schedules.
* Operating punch machines to cut and form metal parts of various thicknesses and lengths.
Requirements
* Willingness to learn from experienced team members in engineering and warehousing.
* Supporting team members with safety and production activities.
* Collaborating with management to develop safety strategies and budgets.
* Performing ad hoc duties as required by management.
Educational Requirements
No formal educational qualifications required.
Additional Info
* 28 days holiday including bank holidays.
* All PPE provided free of charge, including work boots.
