Heinz Wigan Warehouse Team Member Part Time – Wincanton, Greater Manchester, England, United Kingdom
Role overview and description: An enthusiastic Warehouse Team Member is required for our Wincanton’s business. The successful candidate will be an ambassador in safety and performance shift, reporting to the Warehouse Team Leader and working in partnership with a key strategic customer.
Responsibilities
* To load vehicles as part of the despatch function, working closely with the Despatch Team Leader to ensure loads are despatched on time. This includes FLT driving and completing administrative paperwork correctly.
* To unload vehicles within specified time limits, ensuring the Goods In schedule is completed, working with the Goods In Team Leader. Focus on quality and accurate receipting of products. This will involve driving FLT, ECB and manual handling, counting stock, and completing associated paperwork.
* Experience in manual handling is beneficial; use of an LLOP is mandatory along with Radio Data Terminals. Work closely with the Case Pick Team Leader.
* To Case Pick, ensuring loads are picked to hit assembly times and pallet movements are delivered to the correct destinations using appropriate equipment (counterbalance forklift, reach truck, and radio data terminals). Ensure all customer orders are assembled accurately.
* Complete replenishment tasks, removing stretch-wrap and ensuring stock rotation by topping up pallets with appropriate equipment (e.g., reach truck and radio data terminals).
* Participate in various projects as the company develops its Lean Six Sigma programme to improve the operation.
* Engage with company initiatives such as “IMPACT,” LDF (Learning and Development Framework linked to NVQ development).
* Maintain a safe and tidy work environment, ensuring HACCP and food safety standards are achieved and carrying out general housekeeping duties.
* Comply with all Company Health, Safety and Quality procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all.

* Able to communicate effectively with all levels within the NDC / DC Team.
* Flexible and willing to carry out varied tasks positively and reliably.
* Able to carry out manual handling tasks in a constantly changing environment.
* Attentive to detail, completing tasks right first time and on time.
* Take responsibility for own actions and assist others to improve theirs; working together to achieve continual improvement is required.
* Motivated to complete targets set and, where possible, exceed them.
* Strong commitment to Health and Safety.
