Position: Financial Mis-Selling (FMS) SolicitorLocation: Manchester (Hybrid)Salary: Up to £60,000 per annumAbout the RoleOur client, a well-established North West-based solicitors’ firm, is seeking an experienced Financial Mis-Selling Solicitor to join their new litigation team in Manchester. The firm specialises in financial mis-selling and consumer finance claims, assisting clients with PPI, pension transfers, investment mis-selling, car finance (PCP/HP), and other complex financial disputes.This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with 4+ years PQE and a proven track record in financial mis-selling claims to manage their own caseload, supervise junior fee earners, and play an integral role in the growth of a specialist litigation team.Key ResponsibilitiesManage a caseload of financial mis-selling claims from instruction to settlement or trial.Draft correspondence, letters of claim, particulars of claim, witness statements, and court documents.Liaise with clients, financial institutions, experts, and Counsel.Conduct legal research and stay up to date with FCA regulations and case law.Review complex financial documentation and provide clear, client-focused advice.Negotiate settlements and attend court hearings or mediations when required.Supervise and mentor junior team members and paralegals.Maintain accurate records and update case management systems.Ensure compliance with internal policies, SRA regulations, and FCA-related standards.Skills & RequirementsMinimum 4 years PQE with demonstrable experience in financial mis-selling, professional negligence, or complex consumer litigation.Strong understanding of FCA regulations, financial products, and mis-selling principles.Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills.Proven ability to manage a busy caseload and deliver high-quality work to deadlines.Leadership experience and ability to mentor junior fee earners.Exceptional communication and client-care skills.Proficiency in case management systems (e.g., Proclaim or similar).Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales) with a strong academic background (LLB or equivalent).
