You'll be working on aviation safety systems for fighter jets, operating within the finishing department across either anodising or vibratory finishing processes.What you'll be doing:Metal Finishing Operative
Anodising / Vibratory FinishingAnodising:Operating anodising equipment on both manual and automated production linesPreparing components through masking, jigging, and bungingQuality inspection of finished partsWorking with process chemicals to exacting specificationsVibratory Finishing:Operating barrel tumbling and vibratory finishing equipmentPreparing metallic surfaces for anodising and passivationMasking components to protect bores, holes, and slotsSurface preparation and deburring to precise standardsAcross both processes you'll be working to engineering drawings, maintaining quality standards, and handling safety-critical components.What you need:Metal Finishing Operative
Anodising / Vibratory FinishingBasic manufacturing or engineering backgroundAbility to read and interpret engineering drawings (training provided)Good attention to detail and manual dexterityUnderstanding of H&S procedures and COSHH regulationsGCSE grades D-G or equivalentFlexibility to work rotating shiftsExperience in metal finishing or working with process chemicals is ideal, but training can be provided for the right person with a solid manufacturing foundation.What's on offer:£35,000 - £36,000 base salary + 22.5% shift allowance (total package £42,875 - £44,100)Rotating shifts: Week A 06:00-14:00, Week B 13:45-22:00 (Monday to Friday)Strong benefits packageGenuine progression opportunities within the businessOvertime available if desiredStable, long-term work with a company that has over a decade of secured contractsThis is a permanent position with a leading name in aerospace manufacturing.
