Within South Sector the AHP teams work together supporting each other to ensure we produce high quality care for our patients.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Acute Rehab team at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital on a full‑time permanent basis.
It is essential that you are educated to Diploma/Degree level in Occupational Therapy while being registered with HCPC. You should have significant postgraduate experience with relevant previous clinical experience in Acute Rehabilitation.
This post involves a complex and varied caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, rehabilitation and discharge planning.
You will be clinically responsible for rotational staff, support workers and students, inducting, training and managing staff on a daily basis. You will lead in service development and service change within the team. You will be actively encouraged to develop through your 4 pillars of practice while participating in CPD, audit and research.
This post will require the post holder to work weekends.

Key Responsibilities

Essential
* BSc / Diploma in Occupational Therapy
* Registration with HCPC
* Occupational Health Clearance
* PVG Membership
* Significant post‑graduate experience, with previous experience in relevant clinical area.
* Evidence of experience in quality improvement e.g. audit / systematic reviews, research proposals
* Supervisory skill in developing and supporting staff
* Excellent communication skills
* Committed to speciality
* Ability to work under pressure
* Computer literate including use of e‑mail, Microsoft Office and relevant clinical programmes

Other Information
From 1 April 2026, the Agenda for Change full‑time working week will reduce from 37 hours to 36 hours. Part‑time working hours will be reduced on a pro‑rata basis. A corresponding increase in the hourly rate will apply, ensuring that overall pay remains unchanged.
