Overview
Join to apply for the Bank Support Practitioner role at The Richmond Fellowship Scotland.
Our East Kilbride team is expanding its bank pool and is looking for compassionate and creative individuals with a positive attitude to join as Bank Support Practitioners. Bank contracts offer flexibility over days and hours; tell us when you're available and we’ll arrange shifts to fit.
You don't need experience in care to start your career with us; we recruit on values and transferable skills. We’ll provide training to become an amazing Bank Support Practitioner.
Role and responsibilities
As a Bank Support Practitioner you will play a vital role within our team. You will cover shifts to ensure continued high-quality, person-centred care and support during times of annual leave, training or sickness. You will support individuals living in their own homes in the community with disabilities and/or additional support needs. As a Support Practitioner, you will assist with all aspects of daily living including meal preparation, medication, going to appointments and activities, managing personal finances, moving and handling and personal care. You’ll also provide emotional support and help maintain relationships with family and friends. Some people we support enjoy being active in their communities, from arts and crafts to football and going out for a meal. You will take an active interest in their hobbies and help them explore new opportunities.
