We are looking for a committed and adaptable Vocational Teacher to join our specialist post-16 provision. This unique setting supports learners 1:1, guiding them through Functional Skills and developing vocational skills that prepare them for apprenticeships, college courses, and employment.
About the Role:
* Deliver 1:1 vocational sessions tailored to each learner’s career goals and interests
* Support learners in building job readiness, employability skills, and practical knowledge
* Integrate Functional Skills where appropriate to reinforce learning
* Work closely with SEN professionals to create individualised learning plans
* Guide students through the transition into apprenticeship schemes or further education
Essential Requirements:
* Relevant teaching or training qualification (PTLLS, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
* Experience working with SEN learners, especially in a post-16 environment
* Must have atleast 2 years teaching experience
* Strong understanding of vocational pathways and employability skills
* Patient, supportive, and proactive approach to education
* Ability to inspire and motivate young people with diverse needs
Desirable:
* Industry experience in vocational areas (e.g., construction, hospitality, retail, IT, etc.)
* Knowledge of Functional Skills English and Maths
* Experience supporting students into apprenticeships or college
